April Blog Performance

Seems that I'm finally recovering some of my audience after taking a year-long hiatus from my blog. Cause even though I'm nowhere near the level of readers that I had back in the fall of 2005, I also am not promoting my blog in the same way that I was. In 2005 most of my readership was from local DC residents. Now, most of my readership is from individuals outside of DC.

Not that it matters - I'm just glad that people keep returning for updates.

My Blogging Rules

Believe it or not, ever since I first began blogging, I have imposed rules upon my blog. I’m not sure if I have ever overtly stated my rules, so I figure I’ll make it an official post for today.

1. Never use real names, real jobs, or anything that can be used to track anyone down outside of hashing
2. Don’t bad mouth other people – I’m not referring to criticisms of hashing behavior, but statements like “I can’t stand XXX cause of XXX”
3. Never discuss who has hooked-up – This is always a difficult one cause there are so many funny things that come out of post-hook-up conversations.
4. Edit curse words – I wouldn’t want my blog to be blocked cause I wasn’t forward-thinking enough to put a star in the word f*ck

I believe this is a pretty good, simple list. I’m not sure if there are other rules that I should apply, but I’m open to suggestions.

Do I know people in China?

I don't know what I'm posting that could be so appealing to Chinese folks, but my share of folks reading halfway across the world just sky-rocketed in the last hour.

Oh, and Jes, I'm assuming you're my Korean 2%!

Jizz Conditioner??

Okay, now I think I have seen it all. I have this sitemeter thingamabob that tracks page views. Well, it also records the referring url, too. I don't peruse this feature often, but I was curious today where my traffic is coming from since I haven't been very dependable recently.

I just about fell off my chair when I saw someone searched for "jizz conditioner" on yahoo and was led straight to my blog! Check it out! #5

Comment moderation?

WTF??!! Why doesn't blogger tell us when they install new features?

I thought my posts were boring people since I hadn't received any comments for a week's worth of posts. But lo and behold, I'm the one at fault for not checking out the moderate comment feature in my settings. Well, let me tell you, I couldn't turn that feature off fast enough!

And I gotta send a shout out to all my commenters - y'all def have great senses of humor! Some of those comments y'all leave behind totally make me fall out of my chair.

Word Verification

You know...I normally don't care about those stinkin' word verification things. I read Can't Stop's blog on how he found "dnutz" and I thought to myself "What's the big deal?".

....until I went to post a comment on Ear Shot's blog, and I saw this:


Doesn't that look like "Oooohhh...F*ck You"? What's blogger up to now?? Did some hacker get inside them and say "I wanna mess with the word verification cause it sucks balls!!"?
