Driving

LNDT loves driving. She loves speed. She inserts Nine Inch Nails into the CD player. She's angry tonight. She f****d up. She rests the palm of her hand on the tip of the shifter as she feels the engine vibrate underneath. She can feel the power course through the shifter as she guns the engine to 3500-4000 rpms while shifting to a higher gear. Her tires claw up a hill and LNDT forcefully downshifts to gain more traction. The pulsating beat is rhythmic in the air while the open windows blow her hair haphazardly around her face. She needs this time - this time to take control of an object when she feels everything else in her life is spinning out of control. Driving gives her a moment of catharsis, provides the near-orgasmic thrill she needs to control the overwhelming tide of emotion she's bottling up inside herself.

See, i told you going for a drive is nice and therapeutic! You should go to Fredrick and pick up a milk shake!

I was definitely tempted last night - some good freeway and passing action would have calmed me down. But cruising on windy, back country roads took care of the needs too.
